Boston moved it's firework display to the 3rd due to Hurricane Arthur. Dan and I took our dingy (to be referred to as Tater Tot from here on out) up the Charles River to meet with some friends. Total of 7 boats held secure by one anchor. This was a first for me. There is no better way to experience the fireworks display. Up close and personal. We got caught on our way home in a spectacular thunderstorm. There was a mad dash by a hundred or so boats to get through the Charles River locks. Everyone was stone sober... I'm sure. Sometimes having a 7 foot dingy has its benefits. We were able to snake our way to the front of the mayhem without getting run over. We are going to miss this city and all the adventure it offers.
