Don't Worry About It!

This signature cocktail was created to keep crew moral up as well as prevent scurvy and seasickness all in one glass. Consisting of Rum (1 or 2 Oz), Grand Marnier (A Splash), Angostura Bitters (Couple Drops), Lime Juice (1 wedge) all topped off with Ginger Ale (or Ginger Beer)... it contains everything a sailor needs to recover from an overnight passage, keep the vitamin C levels up, and settle your stomach for the next leg of the trip.

Here are a few key examples of how we used it during the trip;

- The captain and crew are generally very irritable after an overnight... Once the anchor is dropped have a "Don't Worry About It" and then try to put the boat back together.

- Spinnaker rips in half... have a "Don't Worry About It" and order a new one. (It also aids one in spending large quantities of money)

- Sarah sneaks under a 45ft bridge after anxiously waiting to reach it the whole day, while recalculating the mast height in your head 1000 times... "Don't worry about it!" have a drink, we cleared it by more than a few inches!

- Macerator pump craps out... have a "Don't Worry About It" find a pump-out station, and then take that sucker apart to see what's wrong.

  2. Thanks for the correction! Traditionally it was Ginger Ale and then we moved towards Ginger Beer as of late.

  3. Good call to move to ginger beer :) Note to self calculate the true height of mast instead of trusting Mike's word of 'we're fine. - lets take a look at the tide, first.'
