St. Thomas / Water Island

Even though we left with southeast winds from Culebrita to St. Thomas, we still had a rougher passage than expected. More of the same motorsailing through the wind and waves we did on the south coast of Puerto Rico. Either way we were rewarded when we anchored in Druif Bay (aka Honeymoon bay) with easy access to Dinghy's, the Water Island beach bar. Pull up Tater Tot to the beach… walk 20ft and order a rum punch.

Oasis of the Sea, the largest cruise ship in the world pulled in to port… basically a floating island with 5,000 people.

After 3 nights in Druif bay we motored through the cut to Charlotte Amalie to do some laundry and provisioning.

A view from from Paradise point… another midday hike up a mountain.

Sarah is down there somewhere… check out the megayacht at the dock, pretty impressive motoring past that thing in a 7.5ft dinghy.
